1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate, creating maps of rooms and floors.
When I tested the S1, it was quick to locate our downstairs, which is home to linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, as well as carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was capable of driving up to walls and even over raised thresholds without issue. However it was a bit difficult traversing the stairs in one step. The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop smoothly on the flat side against the floor, and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or carpet.
The S1's docking station automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock adds a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's tank of water holds enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before needing to be emptied, though it will differ based the amount you use the mop.
The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. In order to do this, you'll have to rinse out the dirty water tank regularly to prevent it from clogging. 4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of removing debris and dirt, but it can't always reach every last piece of dust. It is important to clean frequently, every week. It's easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is an edgier version of the company's more pricier S-series models, including the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but saves on cost by removing mopping and using a lower-cost plastic body.
The Q5 is still one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've seen in this price range even though it's not able to clean your floor. It features a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an automatic emptying system, which means you don't need to empty the bin manually every time. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested to not have a problem with high-pile area rugs and carpets. However, it could not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't surprising because it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
